A Cornerstone of Jikiden Reiki
The Gokai are the five principles taught by Mikao Usui, the founder of Reiki. In Jikiden Reiki they are regarded as a cornerstone practice and a guide for daily living.
Traditionally, Reiki Practitioners would chant the Gokai each morning and evening as a way of cultivating awareness, balance and wellbeing. Usui Sensei understood that true health requires care for both the mind and the body.
The Gokai remind us that Reiki is not only a hands-on practice, but a way of supporting harmony across mind, body and soul.
