Jikiden Reiki Level 1
(Shoden)

About Shoden Training

SHODEN, a Japanese term meaning 'first teaching',  is commonly known as Level 1 Reiki training.

Shoden is the first level of Jikiden Reiki training. Students may later continue to Okuden, the second level of Jikiden Reiki, and are also welcome to attend Reiju Kai gatherings for ongoing practice.

This foundational course offers a thorough introduction to Reiki, including its history, guiding principles and essential treatment techniques.

What You Will Learn

During this three-day training, you will learn how to practise Reiki for self-treatment and for treating others. You will receive Reiju (attunements), be guided step-by-step through traditional treatment techniques, and have plenty of hands-on supervised practice.

You will gain an understanding of Reiki's origins in Japan, its guiding principles (Gokai) and how to integrate Reiki into daily life in a simple and practical way.

No prior experience is required - Shoden is suitable for complete beginners as well as those wishing to revisit Reiki from a traditional Japanese perspective.

Training is delivered either in small groups (with a maximum of six participants) or as individual one-to-one sessions, creating a personalised and supportive learning environment.
